Our Roll Forward feature makes refreshing your financial data simple - just click one button and everything updates automatically. When you add new accounts in QuickBooks or when a new month rolls around, Roll Forward detects these changes and places new accounts in exactly the right spots in your model while preserving all your custom formulas and projections. We use the QuickBooks API to connect directly to your accounting data, ensuring 100% accuracy. This direct connection means there's no manual importing or copying that could introduce errors. The data you see in Model Wiz templates is exactly the same data that exists in your QuickBooks account, with no manipulation or alteration during the transfer process. We sync directly with QuickBooks Online APIs and include built-in error checking. Red cells alert you to any discrepancies. Plus, we have multiple backend processes to ensure data integrity. Our US-based company also signs NDAs for your protection.

After you download templates from Model Wiz, they're simply Excel files that you completely own. You can close Model Wiz and edit these files as much as your Excel skills allow. Our templates include a "drivers" tab where all your numbers flow in from your accounting software. If you build custom formulas referencing these cells, they'll stay intact even when data is updated. We design Model Wiz to help you work with Excel, not against it, in an environment you're already familiar with.

Right now, this feature isn't available, but we're actively working on it. Our development roadmap includes the ability for users to import and connect their own custom templates to their QuickBooks data through Model Wiz. We simply make a secure connection with your QuickBooks account to pull your data, but we don't have access to view or store this data ourselves. You're the only one who can see your financial information, and everything is 100% secure. Model Wiz is designed as a bridge that connects your data to Excel without storing your sensitive financial information on our servers. Your security and privacy are our top priorities.

This is something we're developing as a formal service. We're happy to discuss custom solutions that meet your specific financial modeling needs.

Integrations with Xero, NetSuite, and other accounting platforms are on our roadmap. At the same time, we're also working on an Excel integration piece that will allow you to connect with any accounting platform out there, giving you maximum flexibility regardless of which accounting software you use.

Currently yes, but Xero integration is on our roadmap. We focus exclusively on QBO to deliver the best possible experience rather than being a generic tool.

Yes, absolutely. We're an Excel-first application, so you can customize anything if you have Excel skills. The data-connected dashboards currently show fixed metrics, but since everything lives in Excel, you can create your own custom dashboards, add new metrics, or modify existing layouts.

Basic Excel knowledge helps, but templates work out-of-the-box. Blue cells = editable, everything else automatic.
